The ultimate Sephora guide to makeup storage solutions
They say a tidy desk reflects a tidy mind and we can’t help but relate this to the products you own. There’s nothing worse than a makeup bag overflowing with broken powders, gloopy nail varnishes, and razors without safety covers. What better time to get organised than now? Let our Sephora guide to makeup storage solutions help you feel both glamorous and organised. What a weight off your mind!
Our top tips for a tidy makeup bag:
Use it or lose it
Throwing unused beauty products away is easier said than done. Sure, you might not have used that fluorescent pink lipstick for two summers but you never know when it will come in handy for fancy dress, right? Wrong! Cutting back on clutter is the best way to lighten your load - physically and mentally. By getting rid of the possessions you no longer need, you make it easier to lead a tidy lifestyle. Opting for a big makeup case isn't always the solution - why not cut back instead and use only the products you really love? It’ll save you time in the morning because all your lippies will be your favourites.
Keep the essentials close
Cut back on time spent rummaging in your makeup bag. Ensure the products you use daily are always close at hand. Whether that’s your trusty mascara or your favourite foundation, don’t mix them in with your party glitter or that bright red lippie that you reserve for special occasions. Need a simple way of splitting them up? Why not have a mini makeup bag for the essentials and a big makeup case for everything else? It’s far easier to throw a little bag in your weekend holdall than your static makeup case, right?
Form a divide
Opt for a makeup organiser that divides your collection into handy sections. If multiple makeup bags sounds like too much to manage, simply organise your big makeup case better. Why not order by product type, for example keeping your lip products in one section and eyeshadows in another? Alternatively, store your daily essentials in the section closest to the opening and pop your party makeup away in a section reserved for Saturday night.
